The Laundry Can Wait
I came across a quote recently that stopped me in my tracks. Benjamin Franklin once said, "Many people die at twenty five and aren't buried until they are seventy five". We spend so much of our lives working that we forget to keep living life. I'm guilty of this, most people are. We work our nine to five jobs, go home to clean the house and cook dinner, go to bed and then repeat the process. We get so caught up in the process that it just becomes a pattern. Every once in a while you need to break free and do something different.
Instead of the laundry and cleaning I needed to do today I took a much needed adventure. Adventure does the soul good. The strain and stress of our day to day lives can really take a toll on us. We have to stop and remember to take care of ourselves.
Fall is finally here in Alabama and it feels amazing. Your next off day, treat it like an off day. Go on an adventure. The laundry hanging out in the laundry basket can wait another day.
