Paint Me A Birmingham

No matter where you roam you'll always have your roots.

This picture was taken after a long day of driving and exploring.

The Seven Magic Mountains, Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam, the Joshua Tree National Forest and the Grand Canyon were all checked off of my list that day.

By this point in the day I was tired and ready to be back at my hotel room. When this song came on I paused, I stopped thinking about how tired I was and focused on how this Alabama girl had just stood at the edge of the Grand Canyon.

I love exploring new places but it's nice to be reminded that, no matter where I roam and no matter how long I'm gone, I'll always have a home in Birmingham.
